The average user does not want to waste his or her time, so it's crucial that they know exactly where each link takes them and how to get from point A to point B within the site.
Elegant:
"Less is more" is a core value. During the design phase, all decisions are weighed against the need for simplicity of design. Just because you can do something with a web site does not necessarily mean you should.
Fluid:
